Ruth brings over 50 years in nursing from a multitude of settings including hospice and palliative care to executive management in the home health industry. She has worked in Connecticut, Boston Massachusetts, Washington, Arizona, California, and the 97th General Hospital in Frankfort Germany. Ruth spent the last seventeen years in hospice and palliative care more recently in Coachella Valley, CA. An entrepreneur having started a six-bed residential facility for the elderly, consultant for home health agencies and educating clients on palliative care all providing an effective segue into cannabis for symptom management. Ruth is a writer of poetry and essays on numerous medical topics of the day. She is a member of the Hospice and Palliative Nursing Association, the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Cannabis Nurses Association. Ruth is delighted to join with the Holistic Caring professionals!
Teri started her healing career over 40 years ago as a Registered Nurse and is dually licensed as a RN and Massage Therapist with a Holistic Health Practitioner Certificate. For the past 25 years she has a private practice providing massage therapy, Reiki, and Healing Touch to all ages of clients in addition to her nursing practice. Teri has completed Level III in Healing Touch, Reiki Master/Teacher and has her Master of Arts Degree in Somatic Studies.Teri’s speciality has been Oncology massage and massage for people with chronic illness. Teri has dedicated her lifes’ work to helping people live a life that is the best it can be by reducing pain, anxiety, sleeplessness and promoting self healing. She is honored to be part of Holistic Caring and to educating clients on the use of cannabis. She will help you navigate the system, find the best options for you based on your personal needs.
Lidia is a certified nursing assistant caring for geriatric patients since 2010. She has been instrumental in the ongoing care management for Holistic Caring clients since early 2018. Lidia provides in depth follow up care for many patients in their cannabis medicine regimes, and is a key player in expanding our services. Her focus has been on hospice and palliative care, and deeply understands dementia protocols to maintain safety and efficacy. Her warm smile and hugs lift the spirits of all she encounters.
Heather Shelton, BSN, RN is a nurse herbalist specializing in cannabis therapeutics. She is a member of the American Cannabis Nurse Association, and holds certification from The Medical Cannabis Institute. She is a member of the Oregon Cannabis Clinician Group, which works with legislators on the state’s medical marijuana program for both patients and providers. Heather has a private consultation practice in which she helps others meet their goals for health. She teaches classes on herbal medicine, nutrition, cannabis and wellness. Heather is a graduate of University of Massachusetts Boston and Vermont Technical College, where she worked as an instructor in the practical nursing program.
