Ruth brings over 50 years in nursing from a multitude of settings including hospice and palliative care to executive management in the home health industry. She has worked in Arizona, California, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Washington, and the 97th General Hospital in Frankfurt, Germany. Ruth has been in hospice and palliative care for the past 17 years, most recently in the Coachella Valley region. An entrepreneur, she started an elderly residential facility and is a consultant for home health agencies where she educates clients on palliative care including cannabis for symptom management. She is a member of the Hospice and Palliative Nursing Association (HPNA), the Oncology Nursing Society and the American Cannabis Nurses Association (ACNA). Ruth is delighted to join the Holistic Caring team.
Teri started her healing career 40 years ago as a registered nurse and is dual-licensed as a RN and massage therapist with a Holistic Health Practitioner (HHP) certificate. She has had a private practice for the past 25 years providing massage therapy, reiki and healing touch to clients of all ages in addition to her nursing practice. Teri has completed Level III in Healing Touch, Reiki Master/Teacher and has her Master of Arts degree in Somatic Studies. Her specialty is oncology massage and massage for people with chronic illness. Having dedicated her life’s work to helping people and reducing pain, anxiety, sleeplessness and promoting self-healing, Teri is honored to educate clients on the use of cannabis.
Lidia, a certified nursing assistant, has cared for geriatric patients since 2010. She has been instrumental in the ongoing care management of Holistic Caring clients since 2018. Providing in-depth follow-up care for many patients with their cannabis medicine regimens, she is a key player in expanding Holistic Caring’s services. Her major focus is on hospice and palliative care, and she understands dementia protocols to maintain safety and efficacy. Her warm smile and hugs lift the spirits of all she encounters.
Heather is a nurse herbalist specializing in cannabis therapeutics. She is a member of the American Cannabis Nurse Association (ACNA) and holds certification from The Medical Cannabis Institute. She is a member of the Oregon Cannabis Clinician Group, which works with legislators on that state’s medical marijuana program for patients and providers. With a private consultation practice in which she helps others meet their goals for health, she teaches classes on herbal medicine, nutrition, cannabis and wellness. Heather is a graduate of University of Massachusetts Boston (UMass Boston) and Vermont Technical College, where she worked as an instructor in the practical nursing program.
