About THCv

THCV belongs to the THC group but produces significantly different effects. Activation at CB1 is different for THC vs THCV. THC is an agonist at CB1, while THCV is an antagonist at CB1. This creates opposing effects. For instance THC increases appetite (“the munchies”), while THCV decreases the desire for food, suppressing appetite. THCV is a CB2 agonist helping to modulate the inflammatory response.
